Check your head label before you order

Printheads that look alike are often not interchangeable. Thirty seconds with the label saves a wrong order.

How to read your printhead

  1. Turn the printer off, then move the carriage to its service position following your printer manual.
  2. Find the white label or engraving on the head body. It shows Epson's part code, such as F1080-A1, I3200-A1 or I3200-U1.
  3. Count how many heads are installed. Dual-head printers often need just one replaced.
  4. Still unsure? Take a clear photo of the label and send it to our technical DTF team.

What the label means

F1080-A1Epson XP600Same head; F1080-A1 is Epson's part code for the XP600.

I3200-U1Epson I3200-U1 UVUV ink only. Never use it in a water-based DTF printer.

Printhead compatibility questions

How do I find out which printhead my printer uses?

Search your printer model at the top of this page. To double-check, read the part code on the label of your installed head (for example F1080-A1, I1600-A1, I3200-A1 or I3200-U1) and match it to the table above.

Are the Epson I3200-A1, I3200-A1 HD and I3200-U1 interchangeable?

No. The I3200-A1 is for water-based DTF and DTG ink, the I3200-U1 is for UV ink, and the I3200-A1 HD has 8 manifold inputs instead of 4. Order the exact code printed on your current head.

Is the Epson XP600 the same as the F1080-A1?

Yes. F1080-A1 is Epson's part code for the XP600 printhead, so a label reading F1080-A1 means you need the Epson XP600 head.

How many printheads should I order?

Order one for each head you're replacing. On dual-head printers usually only one head fails, so many shops replace that one and keep a spare. The finder shows how many heads your printer uses where we know it.

What if my printer isn't listed?

Call our technical DTF team at +1-877-576-8415 or email sales@dtfgears.com with your printer brand, model and a photo of the head label. We'll confirm the right head before you order.

Compatibility is based on manufacturer specifications and DTF Gears product listings. Printer makers sometimes change heads between production runs, so always confirm the part code on your installed head before ordering.
