Audley DTF Printer + Shaker Sets: Save Up to $2,503 on a Complete 24" Production Line

Most shops that move up to a 24-inch DTF printer hit the same wall in week one: the printer is fast, but hand-powdering and curing can't keep up. Film piles up, powder goes everywhere and transfers come out uneven. The fix is a matched DTF printer with a powder shaker & dryer, and Audley sells its 24" printers in sets with exactly that. Here's how the sets work, which shaker pairs with which printer, and how to save up to $2,503 buying them together.

What a DTF powder shaker & dryer actually does

After the printer lays down color and white ink, the wet print needs hot-melt adhesive powder, which then has to be melted and cured. A powder shaker & dryer does all of that automatically, in one continuous line:

  1. Powder: it evenly coats the wet ink with hot-melt powder.
  2. Shake: it vibrates off the excess so powder only sticks where there's ink.
  3. Cure: heated drying zones melt the powder into a smooth adhesive layer.
  4. Roll up: finished, ready-to-press transfers come out the other end.

Doing this by hand works on a desktop printer. On a 24" printer making 14–28 m² an hour, it becomes a full-time job, and the main source of rejects.

Why the shaker has to match the printer

A shaker slower than your printer turns it into the bottleneck. A shaker that's too big wastes money and floor space. Audley matches them by output:

Printer Printer max speed Matched shaker Shaker speed
S7070-3 / 8072-3 Wi-Fi (2-head) 14 m²/h ADL07K12 up to 27 m²/h
S8074-3 (4-head) 26 m²/h ADL07K10 5–30 m²/h
8076-3 (6-head) 28 m²/h ADL07K10 5–30 m²/h

In every set, the shaker can process film at least as fast as the printer can print it, so you never wait on curing.

24" 2-head set: $13,199 (save $1,599)

Audley S7070-3 24 inch 2 head DTF printer for the printer and shaker set

The smartest first step into 24" production. The ADL07K12's built-in air filtration is a big plus in smaller shops and shared spaces. It suits shops moving up from desktop DTF that want a full print-to-transfer line.

24" 2-head Wi-Fi set: $15,199

The same line as the 2-head set, built around the 8072-3 Wi-Fi printer. It adds wireless job sending, bigger ink tanks and an anti-collision system, which is handy when several designers feed one printer.

Not ready for 24"? The A3 printer + shaker system

Audley A3 DTF printer and powder shaker bundle E2030-X5 with DF-300

If your volume doesn't justify 24" yet, the Audley A3 DTF Printer & Powder Shaker Bundle ($5,599) gives you the same automated workflow at a smaller size:

  • the E2030-X5 printer, with 2 × Epson XP600 heads and up to 4.5 m²/h,
  • the matched DF-300 powder shaker & dryer,
  • a motorized roll-to-roll take-up,
  • Maintop 6.1 RIP,
  • a full starter supply pack.

Is a shaker worth it? A simple example

Say hand-powdering, shaking and curing film from a 24" printer keeps one employee busy for about 6 hours a day at $18 an hour. That's roughly $108 a day, or about $2,160 a month over 20 working days, spent on a step a machine does better. On top of that you save on powder (the ADL07K10 recovers excess powder for reuse) and get fewer rejected transfers from uneven powder or under-curing.

This is an illustration only. Plug in your own wage, hours and volume.

Planning your set: power, space and air

  1. Two 220V circuits. Both the printer and the shaker run on AC 220V, and the shakers draw up to 2,900W (ADL07K12) or 4,000W (ADL07K10) at peak. Plan a dedicated circuit for each machine.
  2. Floor space. The printer and shaker sit in a straight line. Allow about 64" of length for the ADL07K12 or 88" for the ADL07K10, plus the printer and room to walk around both.
  3. Ventilation. Curing powder releases fumes. The ADL07K12 has triple-stage filtration built in. With the ADL07K10, make sure the room is well ventilated.
  4. Room conditions. Aim for 64–86°F and 40–60% humidity for consistent powder adhesion.

Keeping the line running

Once you're producing, your main running costs are ink, film and powder. Our 24" premium ink + powder + film bundle covers all three in one order, and you can top up with DTF hot-melt powder as needed. Our powder guide explains which grade to use for different fabrics.

FAQ

Do I need a powder shaker with a 24" DTF printer?

For production, yes. A 24" Audley printer outputs 14–28 m² of film an hour, which is far more than anyone can powder and cure evenly by hand. A matched shaker keeps up with the printer and gives consistent transfers.

Which Audley shaker goes with which printer?

The ADL07K12 pairs with the 2-head S7070-3 and 8072-3 Wi-Fi. The ADL07K10 pairs with the 4-head S8074-3 and the 6-head 8076-3.

How much do I save buying a set?

$1,599 on the 2-head set, $2,503 on the 4-head set and $2,499 on the 6-head set, compared with buying the printer and shaker separately.

Can the shakers run on a standard 110V outlet?

No. Both Audley shakers need AC 220V, and we recommend a dedicated circuit for each machine.

Does the shaker recycle excess powder?

The ADL07K10 automatically collects excess powder and returns it to the powder system for reuse. The ADL07K12 has an integrated collection system to manage excess powder and debris.

Can I finance a printer + shaker set?

Yes. Sets can be financed through Click Lease or Synchrony. See your options.
